Re: The Cockatoo Creek Tramway

Hey Chaps, Been a little while since i posted last. a couple of exciting things have happened since i last posted. I finally have acquired a Bachmann Davenport for use as the tramways main diesel. this will be converted to battery power when funds are available to do so. i have been slowly investin...

That's an impressive conversion. Look forward to seeing it running. And thank you from me for the link to the wiring diagram software.👍🏻

Re: Early editions of 16mm Today magazines

C'mon guys, your Forum needs you! These magazines are nearly thirty years old and still in good condition. Certainly too good to throw away. They are interesting historical documents of early days of 16mm modelling and well worth reading. Will someone please offer £10.00 and I will pay the postage....

Re: Vintage footage

It's a great piece of filming. I've always felt that Lynton was missing some element - a 'je ne sais quoi' if you will. I think the railway is it - it justifies the cliff railway and the lovely architecture in an otherwise isolated town.

Absolutely incredible effort there, Aaron, and the first drive video was worth the wait. Your Mom (I presume) is right - it's pretty cool! Well done.

Re: HGLW loco tweak

Nice to see another sister to my Mochyn. I couldn't get rechargeable batteries in mine with radio gear and one of your 'greeting card' sound cards, so I plumped for a permanent tool wagon, which I don't think looks out of place. Using a pair of 18650s, it will run all day and then some - I didn't re...

The consequences for the driver's of trains that strike vehicles/people can be life changing, even if the driver survives without injury. And clearing up the remains is very traumatic.

That looks the business! And the shade of green works very well with the lining. Lining is something I need to attempt - I can't afford to get my engines done professionally but it would be nice to line them out.

Re: A relaxing watch.

Well, we don't have such ridiculous climbs as Mt. Washington, but our Schafbergbahn doesn't have to hide either. A difference in altitude of 1200 meters (3937 ft) is overcome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A849T3Gc1VI It is run with the original steam-powered (very rare) locomotives or with newer...
