Brake Pipes
This might seem like an odd question, but does anyone produce brake pipes that actually connect together in 16mm? It seems possible (though my attempts at home look a little dodgey), and I feel like I've seen it before somewhere, but for the life of my cannot find a supplier!
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Track Plans
You say don't worry about size, but IMO that is actually possibly the most significant factor, since it will potentially dictate the size of loops and curve radius and hence influence loco's and rolling stock. Also, you suggest 'multiple heights' which will obviously require gradients which will al...

In terms of design, ask yourself what do you want from the railway?

Track Plans
I'm trying to turn my mind to a track plan for the garden, which I can then build in phases over the next few years. However I can't seem to get my head around it, so I thought I'd reach out to the group. In a few modelling groups I've been on there's been a few threads for hypothetical track plans,...

Re: Where do you start?
Hello! I've been pondering this one... I think the first step is to talk to your wife, to make sure she really does know what you're planning to do, and roughly what it might look like. I appear not to have followed this advice - my wife tells me she was utterly astonished when I started lugging ho...

Where do you start?
As I sit here in my office looking out over the virgin garden of pure turf I think to myself...how on earth do you start building a garden railway!? All I know is I don't want to build it on stakes but more "blended" with the garden, but I don't really know what that means in practice. I'm...

Re: Botch Idea
I've spoken to Rob, though he thinks its possible there'd need to be some significant alterations to the coach chassis in order to get the WD bogie overhang (as they'd sit inside the body otherwise). Whilst researching I stumbled upon Timpdon models, specifically these: http://www.timpdon.co.uk/timp...

How do the magnetic uncouplers work Tom? Are they standard Accucraft choppers that you've modified?
