I actually think that most of the smaller scales despite some wonderful quality work actually lack any atmosphere. One 00 engine is much like another 00 engine. If you look at any small layout they are just lots of the same thing going round and round. If you then look at even a small layout such as...

If your talking about the4 00 and N brigade I think they make us look almost sane. And yes I have been one of them but I escaped... But as you say they seem to spend a great deal more in their small models than some of us do on ours but it seems you have to too be taken seriously in their circles wh...

Fair point about the Trax system but they do a 24v version if you have a look http://www.traxcontrols.com/modules.htm The problem with the traintech unit is it doesn't look like you could fit a seperate speaker. For your application you will need to fit a much larger speaker to get the required leve...

Your 7 1/4" gauge engine will most likely have 2 x 12volt batteries so if it is a 12v unit just connect it across one of them. I don't know the mylocosound units but if pwm they just need the pulsed output from the controller I believe. Best to contact the makers of the mylocosound unit and no ...

You could try http://www.trenarrenmodels.co.uk/catalogue.html
They do a Garage set which I suppose could include something like that.... Worth an email to them.

I also have these disturbing X rated adult dreams. Perhaps a psycological assessment may help ?

I would tend to suggest that anyone who suffers from this shredding due to rough gears is a rarity. I have several of these chassis and not had a problem. The quality for the price of the HGLW kits is unbeatable. My current project is a version, sort of, of a narrow gauge wickham inspection car. For...

I'd agree with Brian either Maroon with grey roof or Red lower half, white upper half with grey roof. Whichever... as they for workers you need stained coffee stirer sticks for slats on the seats....

A funnies session ?????

You knew i'd have to ask !

(and YES Brian couldn't resist it - Still think it should have been cheap & cheerful.... It appeals to the care and attention with which I nurture the mothballs in my wallet !)

I'm not likely to make the 2017 show but I think it is a great pity it won't be there. It may just be a bit of fun but for some people who don't have gardens it would provide a great deal of inspiration. I, for instance, am likely to move from a rented house to a flat in the next few months and will...
