Hi Guys,
Hoping you can help me, a friend recently found this in his shed, he forget he had it. it was passed down to him from his dad.
Sadly there is only this and a box of bits, no body that we know of...

You need to be a bit more specific. Is it 5" guage ?
Once you have that you could look through the Reeves site
http://www.ajreeves.com/
It could be something like a Barnet, Aquila or a BR Class 2 but do you know if it had a tender ?

I stand to be shot down, but it appears to be ( have been?!) a 2-6-0 tender loco ( I'm assuming that is the tender frames upside down on top?). From the shade of green on the balance weights, it looks more like Southern than LNER, so that suggests a Southern Mogul, possibly N Class although that cylinder doesn't look quite right.

I was thinking it looked like LBSC's Princess Marina but then I spotted the man's boot on the shelf above the loco frames. That's a BIG engine (or part of one anyway) must be 5" gauge at least.
