IP Engineering Budget Electric Chassis ?

Hello there !
All your advices about the IP Engineering budget electric chassis are welcome.
Is this chassis equipped with insulated wheels?

The chassis is OK but with a few limitations, there aren't any bearings in it, the axle just runs through a hole in the steel and on mine the holes aren't lined up that well.
The wheels are NOT insulated and I don't really think it'll be possible to modify them to make them insulated.
I've built a small loco on mine and after fitting metal gears and 4WD it runs OK.

IP Engineering 45mm gauge wheelsets are insulated, but the 32mm gauge wheelsets aren't.
The insulation is just a plastic bush, so it's easy enough to regauge 45mm wheelsets to 32mm if necessary.
IPE supply plastic gears and if used they need to be properly meshed and grease lubricated, or they wear very quickly.....

The insulation is just a plastic bush, so it's easy enough to regauge 45mm wheelsets to 32mm if necessary.
This will be all right for a piece of rolling stock but not for a locomotive as the plastic bush will have to be fixed
in such a way that it will take the drive from the motor without slipping.
Also as the chassis is inside frame so it's too wide to take any flange there is on the bush.

The bushes are a tight press fit and you need a small hammer and a piece of tube to drift the wheels along the axle. The wheel tread will slip on the rail long before the bush will move on the axle. I'm running them in 45mm gauge railcars without any issues.
