Brambleton
Yesterday saw a visit of me, laurence703 and lukejpetch at Brambleton which ensued much chaos!
A triple header mamod train was seen, comprising of Britomart, Ofario and Hampton.
A good send off for Britomart, as my challenge for last year was to see if it would still move under it's own power in 2014, and as that has been done (with 40 hours running time last year with at least 4kg on the drawbar) it's time to slowly retire the poor thing! And with Britomart's gradual retirement, it allows for other frontline motive power to return...

I think a pre-arranged footplate ride on Britomart on the heaviest train it is permitted to haul needs to be sorted out for you...Victor Isle:96688 wrote:I have always thought that having more locomotives hauling a train then needed is something of a frivolous activity that is a waste of time and money.

It was a cracking day a running trains! Members of the West Herts. Area Group run the 16mm lines and the Brambles run the O gauge lines - having started off as a boy's club some years ago!
