Body kit to fit Roundhouse 0-6-0 Chassis

Post by Hope Mountain Railway » Sun Jan 26, 2014 10:44 pm

Hello All, does anybody out there remember a company that used to advertise a body kit for the Roundhouse 0-6-0 chassis that made it into an 0-6-2T with lovely rounded side tanks. I believe it was called the Queen Anne. I'm looking for the advert in all my magazines, and failing miserably! Does anyone have a better memory than I? Thanks

It was one of John Berry's companies, JB engineering or something like that. A friend of mine has one of his "King Arthur" locos

That's right, I think you could use the etch in a number of ways. There was Open and Closed cabs with square or round spectacle plates. Does anyone know where/when the adverts appeared, or have a pic?

I have a pic of the previously mentioned King Arthur buried on a flash drive somewhere, but the ads were in SMT, around issue 100-105 if my memory is correct

Thanks for that, will have a look tomorrow. I have a set of etches to put on Ebay, and wanted a photo of what they would produce.

Mikes Models do something similar but not an 0-6-2 called a King Arthur
