I bought this jolly sailor in Whitby, he's a bit confused about the dressage for the footplate on the SHR, we're of the Bib & Brace breed but at £1.99 you can't go wrong!

I present you with the task of naming him.......

Is it cruel and slightly socio/psychopathic that I'm laughing? Loved the bit with the head on the funnel.

Probably because it's weak there and it seems to land on it's head.

Really it's Gag's fault for being outside of the loading and structure gauge.

Gag Torton (200?-2008)
Obituary
When Gag Torton was cast in China sometime between 2000 and early 2008 under the polluted skies it was never anticipated he would become such a celebrity from the eyes of all Garden Sailors.

Having given up his hobby of Garden Sailing, he moved from the shelf of a shop on the sea front in Whitby to the little village of 'Seibiant Isaf' in North West Wales on the 10/08/08, where he took up residency in a purpose built beach hut. I took some weeks for Gag to find his mountain feet, but he never retired of his sailing outfit. He also kept his occupation as editor (or editro) of Garden Sail magazine (still the only monthly garden sailing magazine). Gag felt a new hobby would lead him in his newlife and he became a working volunteer member of the Seibiant Hill Railway. The 24/10/08 was a joyous day for Gag as he was passed out to drive the railway's stalwart steam loco 'Isabelle'.

His new life style got cut short when on the 27/10/08 he was taking 'Isabelle' through 'Cutting Cul' on an Up train from his hometown of 'Seibiant Isaf' and found himself outside of the loading gauge. In a moment of panic Gag quickly shut the regulator and slammed on the brakes, but it was too late for him as he fell on to the concrete footpath of the neighbouring garden, it was clear the end was nigh and his life came to a sudden end as a result of decapitation.

It is hoped he can be resurected with a drop of Super Glue but that cannot compensate for the loss the whole Garden Sail and Rail Community has suffered.

R.I.P. Gag Torton

Here are some of Gag's relatives, found at the Autum gala of the Little Morecambe steam railway today

They all appered to be coping well with the loss of a relative and dear friend, although they really didn't do much all afternoon except smoking their pipes
