That engine looks like it would be an absolute beast in power terms, bit too American for my likeing though...

Looks like the 7 1/4in one that goes to Millerbeck.

yeah, but the Regner one aint based on a British one, its an American logging shay.

I think you will find that there was no such thing as a British shay. The IRS Society article refers to the engine in question being built by the Lima Co. and they were American.

of course Britain never produced shays
it (if it was a shay) was shipped over here.
