i've been thinking of adding a small 45mm line to my own garden and seeing your thread is filling me with inspiration.... keep up the good work!
If it can be made full scale it can be made 16mm

My line: http://gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/about7200.html

Season opening at the balcony yesterday. During the winter some birds have vandalised the tunnel, and I guess I have to find some more suitable plants.

Edit: Resolved photo.

The Ivy-leaved Toadflax didn't grow very well, and I got a bit impatient, so here is the new look of my tunnel.

After a long and sometimes frustrating building process the end result seems to turn out very well.

Again my railway has been at the model railway show at
the Norwegian Railway Museum at Hamar.
Pretty much like last year, but all buildings from ØVJ this time,
and a much better solution for a steam-up area.

That looks great. Hope you had a good time at the exhibition and had lots of interest in your railway.
Regards Graham.

That locomotive was a kit? You should have taken pictures during the process and posted them! I enjoy seeing build threads. Oh well, congratulations on the new engine, it looks large and powerful.

Thanks. Yes, the loco is kit built. Did take some photos and consider to write an article about it, but I just get a headache and get dizzy if I sit too long in front of the computer. :?

A very nice seasonal picture :D

I was much intrigued by the sight of Lego wagons behind your Charles. I was into building Lego railways for a while there, but have recently returned to 16mm modelling again.
What has Reality done for you lately?

Yes, I remember you from the eurobricks forum.
Good to see you here as well.
I have had lego as hobby for many years, but have got
bitten by the live steam garden railway bug. :)

Very nice.

Will it be given a cab or remain open?

Maybe a half cab or a shield.

I have now modified the gas tank. Chopped off a little and replaced the Regner valve (left) with a self-venting Ronson type valve from Chuffed 2 Bits (right).

The tunnel vegetation looks quite miserable after the winter.
