I received the IP Jessica Kit bought on the forum for sale pages from (90733)Jack and was surprised at the good quality of the steel bodied kit, I wonder why IP stopped making it, cost maybe? I looked through the parts and started to assemble the chassis, and was pleased to find it goes together well. here are a few early photo's.
The chassis ran well with a small battery set up.
I placed the body parts together to see what it looked like.
I am very impressed with this kit I hope I can do it to a good standard.

Nice job Big Al. I have one of their smaller, 4 wheel, diesel kits which I bought ready made. It has now been stripped down and cleaned back to bare metal and I'm about to rebuild it soon.
Agreed it is a very well made kit and will look good on completion, possibly with a few extra details along the way.

I made an offer on the kit but it was refused so glad to see you got it anyway Al.
Keep us updated!

Having got up sober this morning I realised that the paint work was not up to standard ( had a few beers with me mates last night) I spent all morning rubbing down paintwork and resprayed Brunswick Green, looks a lot better.

;)

Some excellent progress there. Well Done.
I do like the idea of drilling out the exhaust pipe end for realism. Must see if I can do that on my two IP Eng exhausts.

Your best bet is to start the hole off with a fine bit in a pin vice

That is a comprehensive package from Chuffed 2 Bits.
Look forward to seeing and hearing it all in action soon.

Sorry for poor video it's my ancient gas powered Cannon camera , I couldn't resist throwing the sound system together to try it, it sounds OK live but a bit dodgy on my lap top. Hope it comes out OK. I need to correct a dodgy wheel that is giving the loco a bit of a wobble on test rig. Click on picture.

Thanks for posting the video Allen. Sounds good although I notice there is quite a delay between closing the throttle and the engine sound running down.
At least you have enough space in the IP Jessica. Just been running my IP Jessie and although there may be enough space for the sound module I'm not sure about a speaker. Which speaker have you fitted to the Jessica (there are 2 in your photo above) and where have you fitted it?

Chris, I fitted a speaker directly behind the radiator grill in my Jessie - I fitted a bit of black cloth in there first to hide it
Nice work Al
