Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for the tiny o ring that seals the plastic pipe on to the gas tank?

Phone Mamod and they'll send you a couple. They don't usually charge.

If you have not already done it Bryan I would clean up the machining burr on the face of the gas tank fitting with a file - this led to the failure of an 'O' ring on one of my Mamod burners.

Mine failed as I lent it to my nephew who could only refill the gas by removing the tank each time.

I cleaned up the face on the fitting on mine but still couldn't get a seal, in fact almost any gas pressure popped the pipe off. It just didn't grip at all, the pipe seemed to collapse and fall off.
I ended up using a tiny piece of tube to reinforce the inside of the plastic pipe (a short length of the needle valve you get with a foot pump for blowing up footballs!) this has helped with getting the O ring to grip the pipe without it collapsing.
I think long term I'll invest in some proper copper pipe for a more permanent fix.

I had a similar problem with the nylon gas pipe on my Mark I (actually one of the early Mamod Train's) and it would only seal with 3 'O' rings fitted.
Now replaced by a piece of copper tubing with an olive soldered onto the gas jet end, and a slightly thicker 'O' ring used on the tank end (slowly replacing all my Mamod nylon gas pipes with this copper tubing).
