Summerlands GP Wagons

Hi folks
I have just posted a little video over on the Video forum of a De winton hauling an ex-works rake of Summerlands General purpose Wagons.

These are not a new commercial product, but are a simple scratch build design for a highly versatile flat wagon that can pass as 7/8ths scale and 16mm scale. It can be easily edapted to take crates, timber, large stone slabs and, in a few hours time, will have clip on swivel beams to make them into bolster wagons.

An another approach is to construct a simple chassis that alternate bodies can be fitted.

Last year it occurred to me that I would never actually take all the RLR's rolling stock out at once. It was also clear that the greatest expense of scratch-built stock is the running gear. So now there is a rake of waggons that can be run as end loading mineral waggons or more esoteric guises such as drink can holder depending on the body fitted.

There is one body version that is simply a rotted-away mineral waggon for photo-opp purposes.

However yours look somewhat more robust than the RLR chassis, and I suspect more resilient to the ravages of time.
