Here are my pics from today, though before that I have to say that first pic from PTLRcecil of the Garratt is brilliant, the one with me in less so...
Image

Image

Image
The PTLR garratt, which pulled a 11 carriage train rather than the long freights that engine appears to be used to, although it still was an amazing spectacle

And finally...

Is Bungle saying "is this my best side" as he poses for the cameras :P
I took plenty of video of this event, some will go on youtube whilst a couple of clips are going in the much anticipated Things that go wrong in steamups part 4, due for release about Christmas hopefully (it will be worth waiting for, I hope  )
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

Laalratty looks as if he's performing some strange ritual dance to make sure that none of the locos break down.

That is a fantastic photo of the garratt, though.

Didn't work though did it. My Baguley failed, refuseing to keep its charge, discharging itself in a couple of hours when switched off

Posin!?! Well maybe just a little! lol! This was my view...
Image
They look like siamese twins! And just to be fair and show the other representatives of the forum who were present...
Image
...and she wasnt quite so innocent with that camera!

In another post, there has been talk of lurkers on this forum, and as hinted by Cecil above, here is one of them, lurking in the bushes!!
Image

Anyhoo, before I get accused of Bungling this thread, let me share some of the piccies I got of the trains during the rare summery weather yesterday afternoon...
Image
The 2 Locobox Garratts bask in the late summer sun!

Image
The full extent of the 11 coach train pulled by Black Coombe, and we cant work out why it appears to have quite demonic red eyes. Perhaps my camera needed to get rid of some of all those red-eyes its been removing from people over the last couple of years! Oh, and here is the guards view...
Image

Westmorland made the trip out, but the severe gradients were not to her liking, but she did run for a while. Here we see her drivers point of view...
Image

Unfortunately thats all the reasonable ones I got as the sun was playing havoc with my shots!!!

Didnt really get a pic worthy of uploading of 'Midge The Menace' (sorry Midge, couldnt resist!). If it bothers you so much laalratty, here you go...

'Midge The Menace and the NWAG Siamese Twins!'

What are you holding there Midge? It looks like one of the 'Borrowers'!?! Or have I been using my shrink ray on more than just laalratty?!?!

Well Matt, when your mum moves to her new job in Cockermouth you'll hopefully be able to attend a few more of those great NWAG steam ups, but I dont think there are currently anymore set in stone for this year.

Don't wish to be pedantic, but there are some people who could take offence to that joke, (however funny it is to everyone else ;) ) and it is also rather unsuitable for a "family" audience shall we say
BTW don't shoot me down for being serious for just a second or 2
