Well the snow and ice has gone (for now!) so I thought it was time to get on with the garden line. I have a sgnificant birthday at the end of March and some months ago decided that that would be the day of the official grand opening of the line and first proper steamup.............. I now have just under two months to finish laying track and get it looking at least slightly presentable! I have booked a week off work and today popped over to Cheltenham to pick up the final box of track, off to the timber yard in the morning and then crack on with the work - watch this space.....

Well, we got the last bits of woodwork done today ready for track laying tomorrow. The circuit has been in place for a couple of months now so the track left to lay is the passing loop and sidings...........
Anyway here's a quick sketch plan of the line, the left hand sideis is ground level running through raised beds and the right hand side is raised track with an opperating area in the middle. the line is more or less level with the sharpest curves 3'6" radius on the left hand end.
