Has anyone tried converting Faller track to PCB Decauville style?

I had to look up what that meant. Mud rail is the name I know it by but its basically metal sleepers welded to light weight track. should work providing the track gets hot enough.

Track gets hot enough? Soldering Code 200 isn't a problem with a gas torch. I would have to make new crossing vee's,(frogs) and I would silver solder them for strength. 9 mm sleeper strip for sleepers,40 mm long, with a section milled out across to represent a pressed sleeper. The track is intended for an indoor layout, so a massive amount isn't needed. I would keep the Faller radius on the points, or maybe tighten them up a bit to a 2 foot radius. Obviously Garrats are out! Should be fun or a trip to the funny farm very soon.

Go for it or just reduce the number of sleepers to give the track the look
