The end of the fest as we know it, PTLRfest 2012

Today was the biggest event in the NWAG calender, PTLRfest at the Pine Tree Light Railway. Once again the PTLR staff put on quite a show, and they put on a good steamup too

Now many of you will probably know that the PTLR north in next doors garden was closed, gone, just a memory......
...except today it wasn't!!! The sale of the house is still ongoing, with the old neighbours still occupying the house the track connecting the PTLRnorth to the Cross Garden Rail link was re-instated and for one weekend over we got the full PTLR network to run on. Anyway, on with the pics!
Image
First out was this Roundhouse Russel from JHMR-Des (His website can be found on the Association website links page) It looked great with the GRS IOM carriages, although it did glitch a bit with its old 40Mhz radio
Image
Next out was Urien and the Severn car train I bought along, it handled it with ease
Image
Urien rolls round to Dragley Beck as King Arthur crosses the viaduct in the background
Image
The second engine I took was Criccieth Castle, and Uncle Keith had a lot of fun driving it for several laps
Image
Visiting diesel from Northern Ireland
Image
The third loco I bought had the addition of a BR crest to the tanks! It just HAD to be done! Notice this fine collection of BR liveried locos
Image
The Ffestiniog emergency Fairlie replacement pair again
Image
Whernside and IMR freight
Image
Merlin weaving the old Merlin magic at the tunnel
Image
The killer bunny caused chaos again on this rarerity - a clockwork Percy that went fantastically fast!
Image
PTLRsam's Peter Angus Linda with the "Dachshund Express" (a rake of carriages purchased by the one NWAG member that went to Peterborough, with little Dog badges on them....) This rake has now been split between 5 NWAG members, and so will probably never appear together again
Image
Lady Jillian takes the IOM 4 wheelers across the viaduct
Image
Mamod Madness with Black Beauty and Y Ddraig Goch. Note the BR crests...!
Image
A "situation" at Dragley Beck
Image
Eden from the SLR (south) and the Dachshund Express
Image
Stig was confused by this car
Image
The Roundhouse locos, including an 0-4-0T Lady Anne, and two Russels. Hmmmmmm, Russel, what a lovely loco... 8)
Image
David William from the Little Morecambe steam railway
Image
After issues including blocked gas jets, safety valves refusing to seat and burnt fingers, the double BR Superiors train was run, about 3 hours late
Image
A final shot of Owain

As ever, a massive thanks to all at the PTLR, and to the NWAG members who attended. Hopefully, a video will actually appear, although given the disappointments of the past two years I wouldn't hold your breath!

Great pics.

Wish I could have made it, then it would have been 4 BR accucraft locos.

Just played "catch-up" and caught this thread. Excellent pic's from what looked a grand day's running, and what a superb suprise to still have the running rights over the Cross Garden Rail link :D
