The steamup instead of Peterborough

As I'm sure you all know by now, the North West Area Group had a steamup yesterday on my Afonglas and Nant Llywyd Railway, and the turnout was one of the best I've ever had, even with one trapped in Barrow with no fuel. We even had a new member attend, plus all of the usual NWAG comedy items (killer bunny, the stig and a new object of intrest....)

First out was Eden from the Silverdale Light Railway south, which got in early whilst it was still quiet...

Modred the Slaters Prince is now finally running reasonably reliably, now that Simon has removed the radio....

An apt double header if ever I saw one. I've heared numerous times that the Sierra Leonne locos were based on Russel. They did look very nice together!

Midge's artwork makes this shot a bit more photogenic

Dave from Preston brought his Edrig and two VERY nice scratchbuilt Ashover carriages. Apart from being shortened by one window there are prototypical and dripping with detail

The train at Afallen

The PTLR's latest loco (and I'm not kidding!
) with their new wagon!

A Dragon Wagon!! Even the killer bunny looks scared....

The standard passing trains shot

Some say that he gets round fuel crises' by taking to the rails....

And that when he goes on steam locos, he likes them BIG and American!
All we know is that he's called The Stig, and that he most definatly can't swim. We know this because he fell in the pond, and sunk without trace

Criccieth Castle had the important task of distributing the Easter Eggs

The star visitor, PTLR Sam bought his Shawe Steam services coal fired L&B Yeo. Alas, the grate kept ketting clogged so runs were rather short, but when it was going it was fantastic, and leaving a most lovely smell!

The shay which belongs to our new member, a converted Aristocraft loco I believe

Guenevere wearing the forum headboard with pride

Yeo in the setting evening sun

Locos on shed for disposal

Finally a new photo location for Yeo
