Well, its been a while, but i'm back!!!

Today saw the first outdoor meeting for2012 of the East of Scotland Group (of the 16mm assoc) and as I had a rare Saturday off work, I was lucky enough to attend. This was my first visit to the end-to-end line and it took a bit of getting used to the block working, with 3 people acting as signallers along the line, communicating through use of buzzers!!! Made for an interesting afternoon's running! It was also nice to see no duplication of class of loco with a good variety of locos in steam!

So here are the pics...

Image
A Cheddar (class?) approaches Bridgend halt.

Image
The Cheddar prepares to be turned at Cardean (the far terminus) before running round its train.

Image
Cumberland sits with a short freight at Belmont Station

Image
Cumberland blows off at Kinpurnie Junction station whilst waiting for the road

Image
Cumberland sits on the turntable at Cardean

Image
A Roundhouse Darj departs Cardean

Image
A heavily rebuilt mamod (essentially a PPS Jane now) departs Kinpurnie Jcn station enroute to Cardean

Image
The Darj, shortly after departing Belmont heads onto a viaduct before plunging into 1 of the lines many tunnels...

Image
...emerging near Bridgend halt.

Image
A Roundhouse Linda awaits departure from Cardean Station

Image
Linda passes Bridgend Halt

Image
Linda exits the other end of the tunnel, bound for Belmont

Image
A RH Bertie (I thhink!?!) exits Bridgend tunnel

Image
Resident RH Atlantic exits Bridgend tunnel heading to the sawmill.

On running in trials.....

Image
Image
....an extremely Shiny Roundhouse Leek & Manifold loco.

There was also a few battery operated locos too, some of which make bluebottle look quick!!!!

Image
A Friog (sp?) Harlech Castle hauls a freight on the approach to Kilpurnie Jcn

Image
This loco is actually climbing a working incline that is designed for wagons only!!

Image
Passing through Luib Halt

Image
A tram, with trailercoach hauls a little freight, however it was running in a rather different formation a few minutes earlier...

Sorry if there are A LOT of pics, but i'm making up for my absence!!!!

That's one hell of a railway!

Cheddar is a Riesa and I reckon the "Bertie" is a "Sammie", which is basically the same thing dressed up to look American.

Great to have you back Bungle, been rather a lack of bungling round here recently ;)
I see you havn't lost your eye for taking some absolutely beautiful photos as well! Really nice, and a great mixture of locos as well. The one right at the start is a Cheddar, looks like a Riesa but not that well up on Cheddar locos. Looks a supurb line though

I forgot to ask the owner of the Cheddar, but had a suspicion it was a Riesa. The slightly unusual look of the bertie, or should I say Sammie is what threw me!!

Didnt think I had got that many good shots til i came to post them here!! Managed to capture all the steam, but missed a few of the battery locos. From the pics it doesnt look like the line is that long, but it was just a matter of the good pics being in the same locations. It was a good length run, with a return trip taking about 10 mins by the time you have waited for the right of way and run round at the far end, and thats not counting any shunting of particular wagons into specific sidings along the line!!!!

So I can put you down for a turn when I start having "Timetable Days" as well as the usual free-for-all steamups? How does 11 scale miles run in real time grab you?
