Ahh thanks! I'm a GWR guy, so preferably would have it in green, but the black is very very tasty i think as i can recall from the cover of the a SMT last year i think.
How easy are they to convert to RC at a later date ?

Not sure how easy TBH, I have heard stories of detail bits flying off when you take the bodywork off though. TBH my mate has given me a good quote to RC mine (ot done yet though) so I will trust him with it. Having said that, this is the only loco I own that will plod along at a semi realistic speed untouched even though my line has typically narrow gauge gradients. Doesnt run away down banks & yet still makes it up them, superb machine. It also makes too much steam!!

LOL Greg, rubber ruler in full effect like it should be. So no plans to get Matt to alter yours then? I wonder if anyone has modified one?

I have no need to as the Countess im buying off of Simon already has RC in it which when you put to costs of RC equipment ontop of buying from pps its about the same + The secondhand one will be already run in
Only reason id buy it from PPS is if i for anyreason couldnt buy it from Simon , as i only live 15mins from Alan

It's a shame they dont do models of them as they Beyer, Peacock before the Green Wet & Rusty brigade got their hands on them!
Interesting fact: the church I am a member of and preach at was built by Richard Peacock as an act of thanksgiving for one of his daughters recovering from scarlet fever. The eight bells in the tower are named after his children!
