Running engines on air

how do people do this, any instructions and equipment needed would be usefull to know

Roundhouse do it by having an adapter for an air line which screws in the boiler in place of the safety valve.

you need an inline oil resevoir that will keep the engine lubricated while on the air

Both are good advice, but they are mutually exclusive. To avoid coating the inside of the boiler with oil, do not use an oil reservoir if you are connecting via the safety valve hole.

a small tyre inflatorvcan be used quite well.

I use an old fridge compressor.
