If the snow won't come to me....

....then I'll go to the snow! However, yesterdays steamup at the Pine Tree Light Railway had a more sombre purpose. It's lasted two years longer then first expected however it appears that time has run out for the Northern section of the Pine Tree Light Railway. The house next door has been sold, and the new neighbours move in in three weeks. So, in the next two weeks 2 special steamups will give visitors a last chance to steam on the two garden layout. The first of these was yesterday, and the lying snow, combined with the mist, occaional sun and the fact we were running some interesting double headed combinations lead to some great pics!
I took all 4 working ANLR steam locos so that we could get as many of the planned double headers run as possible. However, only Gwydion and Taliesin steamed, Urien and Owain will have to wait. Here Taliesin and Urien stand on shed.
Meanwhile the first pairing was out, Gwydion and Morgana the PTLR Millie
Passing Coppermill Signal box, which hasn't been destroyed for at least a year!

8 months since PTLRcecil got his Lyn and FINALLY I have photo evidence of the paradox pair running together!
And they covered the garden in a cloud of steam

Next pairing was Fairlie Fantastic, although Guenevere was suffering with the cold and Taliesin wasn't exactly steaming well either!
The last pairing was very nice in my opinion, and did make me wish I'd taken my Ffestiniog carriages. The Prince is a Slaters kit and therefore battery powered. Still looks good with Taliesin
The final ever steamup (probably) on the PTLR north will be in 2 weeks time, and I believe James is hopeing to start the demolition work with Britomart!
