Yesterday was the annual meet at the Isle of axholme light railway. There is always a wide variety of locos and stock at this meet, I think I counted thirty people in attendence too.

Nicely done, a pleasant recap of an excellent day- it's been a year or three since the IoA was that crowded.

(and having now watched the video) Congratulations on a splendid first effort, without the slightest trace of camera shake and wild panning - very well done!

Nice to see such a variety of locos (even if they were a bit fast at times, one of my bug bears...)

Particularly the Sandy River, I hardly ever see those running.

That is because I didn't know what it was but it belongs to Dave

The Chattenden was built by Dave's son Harry (multiple winner of the Junior cup when he was young enough) but is an unpowered "dummy", motive power being provided by a big motor concealed under the load of the JL Peate 4w wagon coupled behind it. In doing this Harry took a leaf out of the book of another local member, Rick Collett, who builds pretty little railcars and locomotives out of plasticard and uses a powered goods van to shove them along, allowing room for a beefy motor & gearbox combo without spoiling the look of the model.
