I did say that the running day in November was my last this year, but I'm not allowed home yet! River Ankh, the Fowler & Ivy represented the RHBR. Ste234 brought along his diesel and I think it's the first time I've seen it running reliably! Also there was a Roundhouse Silver Lady, a VOR, a Katie or a Jack, the Brandbright Cricket seen last time,a coal fired NGG16, and a proper vertical boiler loco. River Ankh did well, the Fowler has been suffering from poor batteries and didn't manage 1 lap but Ivy has been my star performer, unlike the Ankh she's nearly silent, unlike the Fowler it ran all day on one set of batteries and she looked great plodding along the 4 skips or the 3 AnDel opens. Offler really should be back in January, so a set of loco trials between River Ankh & Offler might take place! My camera was playing up so I haven't photos of everything
River Ankh is panned again

A beautiful coal fired Garratt was appearing, but not for long. The cabless look is an unofficial South African summer modification!

Now it's Ivy's turn to be panned, an amazing feat considering her low speed!

I had to use my phone for these so the not that good.
Vertical boiler locos meet, I can't tell which one is steam powered though! ;)

The real vertical boiler loco (not that wretched imposter!) blows down.

The Roundhouse saddle tank (I'm not sure it's a Katie or Jack)

Next time Offler WILL be running....

True :lol:
Ivy is overtaken by Ste's diesel
I think it's the only thing I overtook all day! :lol:

And my (singular (and rather wonky looking!)) contribution;
