Britomart and Snowdon were seen in the steam up bays! I finally managed to make my way down there, and despite the wind, Britomart ran rather well!





When I finally gave up with the fire going out with high winds, Britomart was confined to a siding! (where later on PendoPilot decided to get his own back at mamods, and shunted it with his Lady Anne )




PP's No.6 runs with a mixed train. We did later on double head Lady Annes, but I didn't manage to get a picture of that!

The the gas ran out in Snowdon, so No.6 carried on





and then Snowdon took over the train, but then needed rescuing when the gas ran out, and when PP heard the word "Thunderbird", his RoundJack went straight into action!







However, another diesel was needed as a banker due to the greasy rails!



However, the train was to be shunted away into a siding where Britomart still lay, sulking from being pushed out the way, and the driver of RoundJack wondered why the train stopped and the loco was just spinning on the spot.....



Britomart got it's own back by getting in the way once more making the train just too heavy



and then after being bashed about enough, the wind died down and a fire was lit once more! But I found it rather liked being in tunnels.....

Britomart still happily ran around, getting in everyones way by being too slow or too fast





PP's Carrie came out for a run, proudly wearing a GWR Badge! (and also shunted Britomart around!)

and to end the day off, Britomart was left running up top until it really did get too cold to run!

Great pics mate, Im assuming you used your 1000D.

Perhaps you should use a faster shutter speed, some of your pics where a bit blurred.

Yeah, I always use that, and well, I need more practise with moving objects, as it focuses, but there's a slight delay from when it says it focused to when it takes the photo, so some parts might be focused on the rear of the loco etc, and that'll be why they look blurred, cause it's not focused on that part, and also it was slightly dull most the day as well which didn't help!

Good day & nice to meet up once again with old mates & new ones as well. Bit cold though!! Actually due to hangover & tiredness I didn't take many pics.  ;)

Enjoyed the sight of James chasing Britomart around the area with cries of "It's on fire!!". At least that Mamod kept him warm. Oh & I didnt ram it that much......  :twisted:

I wish I could visit this Butterley place, with my little train. It looks like good fun.

Shane even carried his special Gay Workers Reunion badge on the front of his loco. Must be a western region thing

Yeah yeah, & I havent even mentioned your Lazy Militant Sh** p-way that is rougher than the WCML! LOL

By the way it's Great Western Railway (or Green Wet & Rusty).

Think I need to pop down to Butterley soonish for another spin [if permitted!]

clockwork 0-6-0T (you can clearly see the hole for the key) and in
the background a huge Dapol/Airfix signal cabin.

(Plus, the folk at Butterley are "fun-guys" to be with!

Reckon we could make the Xmas meet that was mentioned? You're in Sheff, I'm in Bham and as long as I have Swordbreaker finetuned and it's tender painted/overlays lined, could do so.

Glad you could make it and hope you enjoyed the visit - the winter steam-ups are far too short!
You'll certainly have to come back (if you can fit it in on your "Forum Featured Lines Tour of GB" )

It's either that or we pick a weekend when friends are going to be present [such as the generous Narrow Minded ] and we go for a day out there anyway!

Plus it'd be mean 'silver service' delivery if you still have an eye on my workshops James..

Speaking of 'mein workshop', am I still to keep a reserve tag on Phantom or have the parent units firmly said 'Nein!' ?

Erm well, after a deep thought, if I was to get rid of the other 2 ones, it would take a long time to actually get them over this side of the country, and then if I did get rid of them by the time I would have got rid of them and get your loco I wouldn't really have that much time to do anything massive with it anyway, it would just be another one to run, when I all ready have one over (if any of that makes sense, working on assignments this late into the night does have it's after effects! )

So the tag can firmly come off it now! Sorry 'bout that!
