I'm still liking that yellow diesel, it looks very "purposeful". How well is the Jane(t) running?

Erm, seen those pics somewhere before....... Awesome pictures and great layout

I like the diesel as well - what is it please?

Love the AAA setup Pauly, can i borrow it for work! Would stop the thieving pikey scum nicking the cables..
The lines looking very well bedded in now & the formation seems very neatly ballested in, a credit to you. I too love that yellow diesel..

That you do, I was gonna sell it because I just couldnt be bothered with it (Meths burner and all that) but seeing you successfully fire and get her to run so well Im gonna have to try and get her a gas burner and start using her again.

I get asked this all the time but unfortunatly I dont know, its an old Ebay purchase sorry.

Its a Salem Steam one, Butterley have one for sale.
£150 I think.

Quite, I used to put loads of flat wagons behind and put bricks in them and then watch as it pulled it up my hills, wheels slipping and then regripping the rails periodically.

So it could rescue a loco quite effectively?

If you ftted it with RC yes!

Also theres loads of room inside for addditional weight if its not heavy enough.

Are you using on-board rechargeables? (ie via a charging socket on the loco?)

i bought it at Stoneleigh, ran it for a while, resprayed it, used it then decided to go back to an all steam railway. And i lasted till earlier this year when an Essel diesel joined the fleet.

I use normal Duracells, I dont run it to often so I only have to buy 1 big pack a year for it.

I alwasy wondered why the yellow barrel was weathered and the rest of the loco wasnt, I always assumed that someone had began to weather it and then never finished it.
