Garden Railway Forum

I need a source of good weather proof garden railway buildings, dont mind kits as long as their not to complicated, good quality and dont cost a bomb.
Im not a fan of taking my buildings inside during the winter so they need to be capable of taking a beating from the weather.

Recomendations please.

The unpainted ones are the cost-effective option and when you think that you've only got to paint 'em (with outdoor paint and that's easy because of the detail), the time saved constructing kits makes 'em a good option.
The only drawback is the fact that they're solid concrete so can't be internally lit. (Or no-ones hollowed any out to fit glazing and internal lights that I'm aware of............ yet! )

Awesome, I love the station buildings they look great, you wouldnt think they where concreate from look at them

Alternatively, if you want buildings that are reasonably priced (check, if you make enough), weatherproof (check), to a high standard of detail (check) and as a bonus, unique to you if you want them to be....

Yep, so have we. But, I admit to having a mad moment and investing in the MPLR station buildings from 'British Outline Buildings' at the time they sent you the catalogue on cd and you dealt directly with them and now they seem to have disappeared! Typical. they just had a little more finer detail than Modeltown, plus we wanted brick buildings not stone or slate, not a lot of that in Essex!!
