With folk having arrived in the area from far & wide for this weekend's 'big do' on the PTLR, I organised a steam safari today (mainly for Bungle & Al) in which we have run on a number of railways in one day.

First off was a quick visit by LMSjools & myself to the ANLR this morning (Laalratty had no idea we were there!) .......

Then we continued with a steam up on my line..........

Fab idea and cracking set of photo's!

I did get my invite for this weekend, but unfortunately will be away working in Norfolk, Cambs & Leeds over the next 3 days
Have a good'un! I'm sure you will - and I can hopefully be consoled by the photo's & vids:D

T'was a good day, although Jools and Midge are a pair of tresspassing gits!!! Just because I said that I was going to run on all four lines.
And do that is exactly what my Accucraft Baguley Caeronwy Castle did!

Image
Firstly on my line (after the tresspassing incident!)

The passing Waterslack on the SLR north

Image
At Silverdale Junction on the SLR south

Image
And finally standing proudly at the terminus of the Little Morecambe Steam Railway after a long journey round Morecambe! Certainly the most mileage Caeronwy Castle has covered on a single day for a while, on the rails anyway
Here are the rest of my pics

Image
Gwydion on the foot crossing

Image
Gwydion on oneofthe few remaining jungle sections of the SLR north

Image
Corrie the Carrie at the SLR south

Image
Cheddar Hercules

Kittiwake on waterfall curve

Gwydion at Little Morecambe

Corrie attempting camoflage
Finally a couple of incidents

"Passengers may find the ride a little more uncomfortable then normal...."

Caught red handed doing what he does best, causing chaos!
Many thanks to all those that held steamups today

A great selection of photos 8) I think my favourite has to be midge's shot of the "Carrie" - it has a real "woodland" look that is difficult to achieve on a garden line! That "Hercules" is a lovely-looking engine too - although she dwarfs those VofR coaches! Perhaps a design that would look better on 45mm gauge? :P
(Seriously though, she looks just right with the 7/8ths scale figures!)
