There may be a second railway coming to the garden.....

Done! Must say, the first loco does look much better without the side skirts IMHO. Also, if the G-scale line is making a return, remember to document its progress on here as well!

I need to decide for sure if the G scale line is happening (and give it a name) before starting a thread.

I have a (small) collection of G scale stock, and an ideal place for a simple line - it's very tempting.....

Marvelous stuff. Its all very honest, I like it alot. Has anyone driven through a point set incorrectly yet?

Not yet - but there is a reason the locos have deep buffer beams!

If the big ones can manage with 3 way stub points, mine should be OK:

Nice weather means that I have been getting on with a few jobs:

No1 helping with the construction of a crossing:

Had some supervision from a very friendly robin:

Finished result:

The gravel is set into a layer or mortar so that people can walk across the track more easily.

Also been doing a little work on the (possible) future G-scale track:

More progress on the little (g scale) railway:

Materials moved by rail (naturally), no 2 has a train of about 300kg on the drawbar here (gravel, topsoil, and driver).
O

Also been tidying up some ballasting:

And gave the asf loco its first proper test run (only single axle drive here):

The windmill was a £7 bargain from b&m, tarted up with some stain / paint, with a basic tail rotor (?) added.

Looks ok from a distance, and hopefully will help to break up the train set look of the oval layout:
