I've been a follower of this forum for some while and thought it was about time I posted something. This is also a chance to see if I have worked out how to post pictures....so here goes..

They're not images - they're URL's!!
Edit your post and put
at the beginning of each line and at the end.
That should make them visible - alternatively, take the http:// off the front of each line - then check in preview that they're appearing.

Well i've changed them to URLs which hasn't posted the images.???
How do I post images please.

Urls are web addresses to get the photo to show here it needs tobe uploaded to a photo hosting website like photo bucket then that generates an image code for each photo

excellent model!! Do I recognise the wheels and moter from a big big 0-4-0?

Yep it is a big big motor block. I don't have a railway as such but now and then we are allowed to get the box of big big track out and have a play round the living room. The entire thing is 2mm plasticard apart from the boiler which is 1mm plasticard. The rest is odd mamod bits i've aquired plus a coffee stirrer to make the seat. Don't know where the chimney came from. Other bits came from someones workshop clearout for a quid. The basic dimensions came from Dave Watkins 'Idris'. Its not been run yet because its still to be wired up but the switches are fitted. The direction switch is in the front tank. It could be done just as easily, probably more easily, with an IP chassis.

That hasn't stopped your imagination and modelling prowess The big big chassis makes a great starting block for any 0-4-0

Many thanks for the comments but I don't have any modelling prowess..... I wish. But I do have a very warped imagination..... and of course lots of inspiration from you guys on here and the yahoo group. Not sure how a steam looky-likey would go down with the steamy people though !

Ive got acollection of STEAM ENGINE but I have some PRETENDERS for when you dont have time for a steamup.

I remember once being told by an old boy at the local model engineering club that if "you don't build real steam engines you are wasting your time" ...... and then I read another article by Peter Jones, a great inspiration. I'd like to build a 16mm version of my 5" electric quarry hunslet but despite a couple of goes can't get the boiler right so i've turned my attention back to the Rye & Camber and will start with a simplex next. Looking through the posts on this forum there are some very nice ones about already. I haven't got much thats suitable for these things to pull so some wagons need to be made as well..... where all the time will come from I don't know.
