Hello all,
Last weekend I ran my first 'test' trains on my line, although it's only a single track U it was still fun :D :

I like this picture :D

Best overview I could get, shows it's fairly small too, although they will be a branch of the left hand side for a short distance.
:D:D
Thanks
Jack

More pictures from today. The first 'official' passenenger trains were run today. And because of the cold weather the staff couldn't be bothered to get a steamer out, so No.1 was out intead:

Image
First Dom took No.1 'Owl' to Wood Bridge to pick up Bert the Guard.

Image
At Hermit Hole, Bert was ready with his flag......

Image
........So he climbed aboard and of they went back to Parkwood Station

Image
At Parkwood station there was only one pasenger, a enthusiast, who promptly boarded the train.

Image
And off they set

Image
First stop Wood Bridge, but they were no passengers.

Image
So off to Hermit Hole they went.

Enjoy :D
PS: need to get my people painted :D
Thanks
Jack

Nice progress so far, just keep at it and it'll all come together! :D

By the way "cold" days can be the best for the live steam loco's!

Thanks

Nice start Jack, the Guard looks a bit pale, is he ill? :D :D

Coach looks familier as well! Hope the mamod track will come in handy for your progress.
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.

It's looking well (and I assume from the name you're in Keighley or somewhere near). I think you'll have to have a loading gauge somewhere - that tunnel under the decking looks VERY tight!

Cheers, and yep, live in Keighley, overlooking the Keighley and Worth valley railway :D, unfortunatley I dont think any where near to anyone on here :(, although if any one lives near durham I'm up that way this weekend ;)
The tunnel is fairly tight, but fits my edrig fine, but will measure it this weekend and let you know :D
Thanks

Well, its time to say good bye to the old P&DLR. But don't worry, this is a happy end, its returning/rebuilding into a bigger and better line complete with peco trackwork!
Image
The final steam train was run at the weekend, with No.2 Margaret and No.3 Jack.
Image
Then the track was truncated!
Image
The missing section! The fountadations can be seen on the left next to the garage. This will become a 'retaining wall' and have Parkwood station. The mound of soil at the front will become the area for the quarry.
Image
The view of what will become the quarry area, the track on the left will contiue behind the tree to Damems station, the track that curves at the bottom of the photo will go, as the circuit will contiue down to the front of the tree and pass what will be the quarry and join on the line to damems.
Image
The foundations for parkwood station.
Image

I'll try and do a drawing or something to better explain things :) Exciting times at the P&DLR
Thanks
Jack
