Hi,
The Mynydd Bychan (Little Mountain) Light Railway is owned and operated by members of the Cardiff Model Engineering Society's Garden Railway Group at their headquarters at Heath Park Cardiff.
Members children hitching a ride on a test train on one of the larger gauges before opening to the public.
1pm Opening on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday.
1.30pm Operating area of the Mynydd Bychan light railway.
A view from the garden railway.
Crackers double heading a mixed train.
A poor video of a Cracker pulling a long train.
5.30pm. Peace.
A tough way to spend an afternoon but some one had to do it. Information about the club and its opendays can be veiwed at
www.cardiffmes.com
If anyone is in the area and would like to come and play, please contact me.
Regards Tony Bird.

Hi Keith,
Alas I didn't take any photographs of the club's larger engines as the ones taken were for the GR Forum. The club's next openday is the 9th. September so some will be taken then and posted. The club has a raised 5"/3.5" gauge track and a 7.25"/5" gauge ground level track along with an 18" gauge tramway. In the club house there is a large '00' gauge exhibition layout.
Regards Tony.
