I've been working on my IP Ezee Railcar recently, and have very nearly finished...



Oh no, what has come over me?!!! I'VE PAINTED IT DVLR COLOURS!



Control panel...



The nearly policically correct passengers - Nun, a Gay (probably), and an OAP. All I need now is a disabled person and a coloured person.



The modified Prieser figure I thought looked a little like Zach...



...but without the glasses. When I spoke to Dan after I glued this in, he said, why didn't I buy a Harry Potter figure... DUHH why didn't I?!!!



White wheel rims! I don't think I've ever gone this far in detail before.



Washers for headlamp surrounds, and some mesh put in the rad. as the engraved mesh looked a bit dull.



Zach the Driver put in, and a windscreen wiper.



Nearly there, just needs a roof (GUESS WHAT COLOUR?!! ) and the battery box wiring on. And probably nameplates of somesort!

Looks great Pete, and if Zach isn't impressed with this....!

Haha, erm, well, I'm not really sure what to make of that! Nice colour deffinately, needs a white roof (of course!) and could do with some red lining. you can bend up some brass wire easily for glasses, is a little fiddly but well worth the effort. Would you like me to send you an official Mr. Bond scarf?

Very nice Pete. I've got to admit that I wasn't "bowled over" by the IP railcar when I saw the kit - but with the work you've done on it, I've changed my mind - it looks great!

I'd take Zach up on his offer of an official scarf, I got one from him for my Mini B

the only thing I dont like about the IP railcar is that the passenger door is on the back.

Looking good, excellent vehicle for a cash strapped railway (Looks like something thatcher would of had us use!).

May have to get one of them now.

I hadn't noticed that Still, nothing a little rear veranda wouldn't sort out
(Especially if Mr Bond would laser cut the railings with a "MHLR" motif )

I've just decided I'm going to get two of them & run them in multiple. Will have to sort out some side doors I guess & crossfeed the wiring but will be worth it. Yay DMU time.

Would be cool, although firstly, it would look very back-end heavy, and wouldn't help it as it is front wheel drive, and secondly, I don't like permanent motifs, because within the next couple of years, things are likely to change

Ah, the only constant is change! (it could always be the ex-MHLR railcar if it comes to it - but I know what you're saying))

Reckon you're right about the "back heavy" look I guess the passengers will have to disembark via the fold out steps that you can't see 'cos they're currently folded in!

Well, if they want to get somewhere, they either clamber in and make do, or don't travel! - only the best on the MHLR!

Well yes, probably, and the parents are too because we always move every 5 years or so as my mum wants a new house project to get her teeth into Dunno what's going to happen as yet, but uni will call after I've finished my A2 levels...

If you get two, you can swap the sides so you can have one door in either corner of each railcar................

I'm going to build my pair with the motors at the centre - the floor is plain and oblong so that'll not be a problem. One battery for traction (through a floor-mounted double pole switch) and one for lighting, with directional head / tail lamps.

All done...



Roof on, battery box wired in, and 'Mandie' nameplates fitted. Runs nicely!



My railway is needing some attention in a few of these recent photos, and the platforms have cracks in them due to the ex-paving slabs used as the trackbed sinking down



I would have liked to have fitted working headlamps, but couldn't be ar*ed due to the size of the thing, it would be damn fiddly. And I had already put the control panel in etc!
