Locolines-Hunslet kit?

Anybody built the Hunslet locolines body kit?
If so how easy is it?
Thinking of getting one in britomart colours

They are nice little kits if you make them with patience, ingenuity and sharp blades...
I'd get the kit with tram skirts as then you can invest in an IP engineering cheap chassis and 4wd chains of course and hide them under the skirts. That way you have a loco up and running without faffing around making con rods and cylinders etc. You can remove the skirts and do this at a later date anyway.

Go for it, I had great fun building a tiny. I made an op enable smoke box door out of a herb pot lid, the boiler contained the batteries, I made a firebox from a spray can lid and the chassis was made from old rolling stock, meccano and Cambrian wheels. The motor was hidden inside the firebox. I also modified the bunker.
Great little kits but a sharp blade at all times to prevent ragged edges is essential!

Thinking of using the IP 0-4-0 chassis that Pete used with his. I have built the wickham trolley before went O.K but could have been better.

The missing sheet for the Corris Hughes tank arrived this morning

It looks like Roy's back up and running OK now and I can clear the decks and make a start on the "(Cheap) Return To Corris" this week!! (I'd best get the coaches "restored" too

)

I'd love to follow your build story, carriages? The locolines kits, although leccy locos, really please me. I love modifying them and putting them together. I just need to find someone to buy the end result!

You don't have to sell them

I followed Peter Jones' advice and collected a small stud of battery electric loco's for the "instant running" advantage, and I must say, many times I've enjoyed a running session when I just wouldn't have gone to the trouble of prep'ing a live steamer

The only "down side", is that I've ended up with a loco stud far larger than my little line warrants - but hey, it's my line etc, etc.....

I originally bought a Corris coach to compliment the TR set (same with the GVT coach), but now I've ended up with "complete" trains - both hauled by Leccy Loco's - and unless I win the Lottery, I'd
never be able to afford live steam equivalents

Also, in some sort of perverse way, I'm looking forward to being able to run and photograph a complete cardboard train
