Your certainly know your way around coach building! I presume that the FfR No.11 in the photos Mr PTLR Jnr. sent me is the one you were telling me about, if so, stunning mate, how long does it take you to piece a coach together?

Depends really how much time I have spare. Designing takes a couple of weeks ( I like to do drawings to work from), then making is usually some months. In the case of the obs, i obtained a drawing from adrian gray and modified it. Its been under construction since about early november, but i'm not a speedy modeller and construction can happen rapidly for a few days and then slow down to nothing

It's interesting comparing notes on carriage building, and it seems yours are similar to mine.

Here is a picture of the finished coach
And this is a picture of my latest coach, and observation car that is heavily inspired by Ffestiniog number 11 a.k.a van 4

Those are some very smart looking coaches.
I particularly like the way you have made some of the windows in the open position, a realistic touch.

The windows being left open does have the benifit of there being one less window to make, in the case of the fully open ones
The windows are a real pain cos I havn't found any glue that dosn't discolour the window in some way

I know what you're talking about, with PVA glue they punch out so easy unless you sandwich the plastic between two droplights, alternatively you can use araldite and be careful so that you don't smear the araldite on the plastic.

I find being carefull difficult when I have araldite or suplerglue on my fingers!!!!!!

Even when you're extremly careful the stuf still gets on your fingers

, don't you find that annoying?

Yes!!!!!
I like PVA, it peels off!!!

I dont mind getting epoxy on be pinkies but superglue I hate the stuff. It leaves white marks over everything as well.

Marks on the windows are especially annoying, but I havn't yet managed to put superglue on paint, even when putting some coal in my Millies bunker (my luck must have been with me that day)
