My scratch built simplex made from plasticard with ip chassis still needs some work

Very nice indeed: all you've got to find now is a couple of cast sandbox tops!

I did the radiator on mine (many years ago) by sandwiching alternate wider and narrower strips of Plastikard and then adding the top, bottom and sides. Running a saw across the "matrix" produced a very convincing effect!

I had my fun making it, it needed to go to a new home i hope they are pleased with it. Sent loco this morning to Middlesborough so you may see it when visiting other lines

I did make some metal parts for a simplex which i sold on ebay a little while back it was nice to see on this forum that someone had finished it off.

I used alloy sheet free from a friend who repaires buses

Also B&Q do a good sellection but their sheet metal is expensive

Ruston and other models all sold it was made from a sheet of brass from a boot sale which i paid a pound for.

I had intended to solder it together ,that did not work as i was unable to solder so i used resin glue
