Hi guys,

I need some advice about wiring PWM DC Motor Speed Regulator. Can I put a dpt I think that’s what they are, those switches that can turn on or off 1 way or 2 ways. How would I wire them up please

I may have asked this question before, sorry :dontknow:

Hi Rod
Are you wanting to use the DPDT switch to reverse the loco?

You really need an Off/On switch on the input to these, as the switch on the speed controller does not turn off the controller electronics.

I you are adverse to wiring the switch yourself, you could buy a DPDT centre-off switch from me pre-wired for £2.50

If you are not in a hurry, these will be on the stand at Llangollen.

Phil Partridge.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your very welcome reply’s.

Rik, it isn’t for a loco, but for future reference what would be the best switch, but then I think Phil.P has answered my question I think. :thumbleft:

Thanks Phil,

I would love to buy a couple off you, unfortunately I don’t think we will be able to make Llangollen this year, I am having some surgery on my eyes 👀. I have already had one done but I have to wait until the opticians are happy that the eye 👁️ that I have had done is recovered from the surgery before I can get the other one done and then it could be 4 weeks at least before I will know if they are happy with it. Unfortunately also I can’t drive until they are happy with the results. Anne won’t drive on motorways either. :thumbleft:
