Where to auction locos?

Good day,
I am an executor to my late brothers estate. He had about 18 different model engines, and at one time had his own garden railway line.
A very good friend has sold many of them for me, but I am left with 4 Mamod models, 2 Roundhouse, and 2 Accucraft. I am looking to sell them in an auction, but I am a a loss to know which may be the best for model engines. Has anyone had a good experience with an auction house in the southern half of England. I live in W. Sussex, and I am willing to travel as far as Birmingham.
Many thanks in advance if you have advice. I do not want to use E-bay.

I know next to nothing about them, other than their existence, but there is an auction house in, I think, IOW called Vectis Auctions. I know they sell a lot of model railway stuff.

The name fooled me in to thinking Vectis was in IOW too but they’re actually at the other end of the country near Middlesbrough.

Yes, but they do collect or take 'parcels'.

Sorry for your loss.
If your late brother was a member of the 16mm Association, they have a team who can help deal with the disposal of a members collection.
A percentage goes to the Association, but you know they are going to fellow enthusiasts, and will be treated fairly.

Thank you for responses to my query about Auction Houses and the selling of model trains. I just wanted to know if there was one in particular that stood out that had a specialist railway model auction. There are numerous auction houses all over the country, so it's really a question of choosing one that stands out. One is called Railwayana, which sounds promising, but I thought I'd ask an enthusiasts forum such as yourselves if anyone had personal experience.

As Philip and others have said, Vectis specialises in model railway auctions.

However, getting in touch with the 16mm NGM Association is another viable option. The Association will be very fair in how it handles your brother's locos and will probably ask for less commission than you would have to pay at an auction house who will charge commission plus VAT

I watched an online auction of model railway of various gauges a couple of months ago from a firm in Horsham. It seemed to be well organised. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name!
