That's a brilliant video Paul. You should get it included in next year's 16mm Association DVD ;)

Like Pete, I like how the Garratt just clears the inside of the bridge :)

I have to admit to being a little anxious on Christmas Day last year when the Garratt made its first trip around my line, pushed by hand. There used to be a pair of tunnel mouths where the line passes through the fence, and they had to go to allow the cab roof to clear. The viaduct could have been a huge problem but it fits with two or three millimetres each side to spare. To this day I'm not entirely sure what I would have done if the viaduct had been too narrow...

Excellent film work there Paul! Just wish I had cut the grass first though.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I have thought about making a Video with all the best bits from my two trips to the Bryn Tyddyn Light Railway for inclusion in the 16mm DVD, but of course this needs the permision of Tony.

There will be more videos coming soon, a short video of the MGLR and a video of the SHR as well as the bloopers vid of course. all in due course.

oh and there will also be a short vid of 143 approaching T4.
Thanks,

Paul Wood

I think I might have got a tad worried when the Garratt went over the bridge.............

BTW, you do all know that you have to contact William Bickers-Jones ( william.bickers-jones@ntlworld.com ) about getting your video on the DVD, don't you??

And willingly granted!

Perhaps we should have another session with the sole purpose of doing some filming, and I'll make sure the grass is cut.

I'm definatley up for that!

I know where all the good views are and I know some of the early mistakes which I can now correct.

Well I will wait and see what happens about our filming steam up but otherwise I will get in touch with him.

I would have thought I've got a while before it's required anyway seeing as the DVD comes with the Feburary edition once you have renewed membership or something like that.

Hopefully there will be one of the SHR and then a short vid of the WHR and then the bloopers vid.

Oh and also to either matt will or laalratty, whoever has the picture of us lot lined up with our locos at wills could I use it in my film please? and if so could you send it me, thanks.
Thanks,

It does, but William doesn't want to do all the work in his Christmas break - the more material he's got, the earlier, the better!

Well, ok. It has indeed been a long while since my upload of some movies and it has taken me much longer than i thought, but i have finally uploaded the video of the SHR summer Gala.

Here you go!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RR4zk7JNok

and for those who dont like links

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2RR4zk7JNok&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2RR4zk7JNok&hl ... 2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Alos, very shortly there will be a video of NGG16 No 143 Storming across Cwm Bychan and into T4 (just to show that garratts can chuff (well sort of!))
Thanks,
