Now that a connection at Heversham has been made to the standard gauge world and under persistant pressure from the owner of Thrang End Gravel Works, J. Dawes Esq., a balloon loop has been created by extending the branch line through Thrang End Terminus back round to the mainline. As usual this has been built to the low standards that have become a signature of this impoverished line.

I think that even for the 'low standards' you've got the job done and it adds to the character of the line! Very good!

Would have been even steeper if the track was straight.

Drops around 2 inches in 6 feet so around 1 in 36, that'll make em chuff

Nothing like a good steep gradient and the feeling of being dead chuffed when your loco and train makes it to the top

If your going to be pedantic again, it also depends on loco and speed!

Nice work, you should see my line. large concrete things that just so happen to be in the Garden put at every join. I can't even buy anything now as Victor Meldrew has refused to purchase a Binnie Hudson skip for me as he says it's a waste of money (what? £8:00) & now he says that I can't have an indoor railway & an outdoor railway .If I want the garden railway, I have to sacrifice the indoor one (that is still incomplete as I need a bigger garage to put it in as the previous inhabitants had converted one half into a utility room). Overall it means I can't buy rail joiners either so I have to thread rails from the previous piece of track into the next.
