Roundhouse Silver Lady
Roundhouse Silver Lady
I have a Silver Lady surplus to requirements (I’m going 100% battery powered). Purchased 2022 in black neither lined nor named. I ran her twice before the autumn but basically “as new”. Located near Edinburgh.
Any interest to anyone?

Any chance of some photos?

Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
I can certainly post photos but it'll need to be after the 8th (I'm away at the moment).
The loco is clean and in pristine condition but, of course, pictures are required!
I have Roundhouse diesels in a variety of greens and maroon and have to say the black is stunning.
Set to 45 mm gauge.
Apologies for the delay in providing the photographs.

I'm not in the market myself for a live steamer but I'm sure others on the forum would appreciate seeing what they might be considering buying.snowfun wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 4:34 pm I can certainly post photos but it'll need to be after the 8th (I'm away at the moment).

Also, some sort of guide as to what you're after for it might tempt (or frighten) prospective buyers

A RH Silver Lady with R/C is £2371 or £2064 manual new,so guess that would be a guide for a recently purchased example.

Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
Yes but it's not giving a price for this is it. I certainly pay anywhere near that, even if I had the money for a second hand loco

Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
I suppose the implication was “offers invited”. There is little to be gained from posting a price just to satisfy curiosity whilst those with spare cash and the desire to own a super locomotive could have contacted me. But I have had a satisfactory offer so all is good!
Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
It wasn't stated "offers only" so how do you expect a sale. It's courteous anyway to show a price for forum members, we don't all have bottomless pockets and with the cost of living, most are finding it hard to manage at the moment.
Glad you have had a sale, it is a lovely loco which would look great on any line.

You might want to mark this *SOLD*
Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
Does that mean it has been sold?snowfun wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:31 am I suppose the implication was “offers invited”. Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
I personally think people just come on here to sell their items, which is all well and good, but they really aren't doing much else only saving money by not selling on eBay. Still not really bothered if the do only sell something, it's their choice, but I wish they would say how much they want for anything and if they have sold, tell us how much they sold it for... It's not to difficult is it...

Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
Just so people know, the guidelines for selling on the forum have been updated to include, photos, price and a rough location. This is the information people need to make an informed decision.

Re: Roundhouse Silver Lady
Equally important is for the vendor to finalise the offer with a 'sold' notice. We have no way of knowing the status otherwise.
