I quite like that they're back-to-back; We also had a pair of cane locos running around that way on the local Moreton cane tramways, till the mill closed in '03.
Those (and similar) inspired my decision to couple them back to back.
Good picture

A 'right rivettin' read' Rik, and 2 lovely locos. With the best will in the world, I don't seem to have enough hours in the day to drop in on the forum more regularly. But it's nice to be presented with threads like this one when I do.

I thought you might like it Peter. It was on the shortlist as background music for your B.U.R.P.S. video. I forgot I'd downloaded it until I was looking for some music to fit this video. It seemed to match the subject well.

I've just thought, you ought to post a "make" and link to this video on the Thingiverse page.
Not sure how to do that. I will investigate...

I think all you need to do is go to the original Thingiverse file pages and click the "Post a make" link on the RHS to upload still pics. ( I guess you'd need to do it on both the original and 'Remake' pages?)

Not sure if it will let you upload the actual video but I think you can add the URL in the commenst section.

Thanks Philip
Now done! But what a palaver! Tried logging in using my Google ID and went round in circles as it kept asking for the same info and the sending me back to the original page. I then tried registering normally and it kept throwing up a Recaptcha error message, even though there was no "I'm not a robot" button. In the end I had to fire up the laptop and register that way, except it demanded my age and wouldn't let me enter it manually and so I had to click through 69 X 12 separate months to reach the year and month of my birth!

Then it wouldn't accept the video file, so I've uploaded some stills.

Phew!!!

Think I would have given up myself Rik. Those Recaptcha "I am not a Robot" on a lot of sites are a real pain in you know where.

A bit of an update on this build (from two years ago). I've finally gotten around to creating a blog post about it
https://riksrailway.blogspot.com/2022/0 ... locos.html

Since my last update on this thread, I have motorised the trailing loco so they now work as a permanently coupled pair. One has the recommended IP Engineering Budget chassis but the second loco uses the chassis included with the kit to which I added brass bushes, wheels, gears and a motor from IP Engineering. They both seem to operate equally well. They will now quite happily pull eight loaded skips, plus gunpowder van and brake van up my 1:40 gradients.
