Couplings

I am in the process of building some quarry stock from some Binnie kits. I seem to remember somebody say they used magnetic couplings as they were less fiddly. What do these look like and where can I get them? Any help or tips really appreciated.

Hi.
Try Timpdon electronics. They sold me some a couple of years ago. I can't see then on their website now but worth giving them a ring.

An alternative is to create a fixed rake; replace the Binnie hooks with a chain link. You can store them in a length of drain pipe.

If you're prepared to add your own chains, you can use 'magnetic necklace clasps' like these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272565576778

They work out cheaper than the ones from 16mm suppliers.
