Moving again

Well I thought I was going to be settled in Cardiff for at least 2 years. However my Bishop and the Church in Wales have thought otherwise.
Time to pack up and move again in June.
I think a cull of a few models might be in order as I have way too much stuff.
I have an idea what I will keep and what will go but what are other people thoughts.
I am leaning towards one steam and one big diesel, plus a small diesel and a train for each.
Trouble is I can't decide so I will probably end up keeping the lot.

Get all of them out and put them on a table and weed out who stays or goes.

Tuff love in order...

Not a bad idea.
Need a big table though.

Oh no Jim, we were just moving to the area and I was hoping to book in a visit!

On a side note - are you ordained in the CiW? Might have to pick your brains if so...

If you are coming this way there might be an opportunity for you to travel a little further west and make a group visit here along with Jim?
It would be great to see a few more visitors at the BURPS.

Problem I have is that I build what I like. I have no set type of stock. Not having a railway means that there is a very eclectic mix of stuff, most of which doesn't go together. I think i need to set a theme and stick to it.

I have the same problem, I buy or build what I like and most of the time it lacks focus and direction. Constant moving is a hinderance to getting a good garden line built. Hope the move goes smoothly. Mike

Jim, sometimes a lack of focus is a good thing. When I got into this garden rail thing I didn't have a fixed view what gauge , era, country etc to follow so we have a fair mix of things here and it has been enjoyable and informative for that wider experience. If you don't know your new garden railway situation then maybe keep them all and choose when you have formulated a plan based on your new location?

Good luck with the move

Dave

Dave,
I like your suggestion of keeping the lot.
