LGB coaches

New coaches have arrived at the workshop :D

but they are that horrid blue/red and cream with yellow window frames colour

so gotta strip them down and repaint in the Woodrow standard for LGB coaches

start putting it back together (note that the windows have been put in different places to get rid of the uniform effect you get in a large rake of these)

Looks vary nice, I prefer the one with flush panels myself, I presume however that you have not steamed your Caradoc?

Am just waiting for a nice day to do it

I hate steaming up on dull overcast day :(

Nice work Pauly :) I must admit, I too have been toying with the idea of repainting my LGB coaches. Did you just spray the primer straight onto the existing paintwork?

And a more general question - if I wanted to paint my coaches a dark red colour, should I use red oxide primer or will grey work just as well?

yeah I just sprayed grey plastic primer straight onto it

well Id try the 2 different primers on some pieces of spare plastic first and see what suits you
