I was beginning to think today would never come ... but...
The result was worth the effort though.
I like the satin finish. Lining and good coat of varnish always seems to give a richer appearance to a coloured loco.

ps. The 'six phases of a project' came out of the IT world, but the early stages apply equally to modelling. If you want a truly Sisyphean project, build a Garratt.........

Funnily enough, before I started on the F&B loco, I did start to look at a Garratt, even collected a few drawings, but in the end decided that even the smallest type would be way too big to get round my tighter curves ( or any of them!) and I'm not masochistic enough to start something that major knowing that even if it got finished, I would never be able to run it.

Well this has turned out to be a thing of extraordinary beauty. Such crisp high resolution printwork realising all the detail in your design, and everything elevated by that absolutely beautiful finish. Just wonderful.

Well I can only echo the praise that everyone else has heaped upon you. That is a thing of beauty

I think it must be the best 3D printed loco I've ever seen.

Rik, I'm not sure I'd go that far though!
I'm now soldiering on with the coaches to go with it. I did post about the Brake 3rd some months ago and currently have the 1st/2nd Composite underway, but I'll do a separate thread for that. However, just as a teaser, here are Lord & Lady Muck ready for their 1st Class compartment, (after some fettling and painting of course).
