Hi all.
First of all; Thank you for all your kind and encouraging comments on my mill
And here I´ll show som more detail pics; the Mill has become far more complicated and detailed than I could imagine. It just went on and on growing out of my hands and mind, I´m actually surprised myself of what it has become.




The measures by now is; 80 cm long, 50 cm wide and 55cm high. It was originally ment to be a building that I could leave outside for the whole year, but with all that detailing it´s probably not a good idea...

The building looks as if it has grown as a real building would have, different materials, some painted, some not. Great work Michael, more atmosphere for your railway.

Just amazing..... so realistic with its worn and used appearance. You have a great eye for observation and a talent for reproducing it in miniature, brilliant work!
I hope you have plenty of storage space as these builds become an obsession before long.

Just a small update of the work at ØVJ. My 1:13,3 O&K loco has got some small adjustments




And the Mill, now waiting for spring and to be placed by the line

I just realised, the mug is to clean. I must make it more sooty

Your mill is looking excellent. A good combination of materials used in its construction, just like the real thing.

Thank you for kind comments. The loco is an Orenstein&Koppel from Herrmann echtdampf, Germany. They have now made an English version of it too.

Hi all. It´s time for an update from up here. The spring was cold and snowy, so the first run had to wait until end of may. But now there have been some evenings with nice weather. I like to show you some pics:

The Mill on it´s right place with the first train testing the track. On the backside a train was reversing in, under the silos. It all worked as planned


On the 7/8 line my Chaloner was the first train (goodbye Regner ) One of the tubwagons was bought in Peterborough, which I had the great pleasure to attend this year.


My O&K started the season with a broken servo, but I got a new one from Herrmann echtdampf. Now it works, and I have done som testing on the line, adjusting a difficult curve with used to cause derailments. It seems to progress in the right direction. A work train and later with wagons runs ok through the curve.


And here just to show the awful hight at the south end of the line. A derailment there would be my biggest nightmare

Excellent! I love the small teacup on the steamheader in the locomotive.. About the worst nightmare derailments: You could add a catchrail in the curve. It is prototypicall and it will help to guide a derailed wagon or locomotive into safety.
You can easily make one by screwing brass screws into the sleepers at the right distance and solder a spare piece of rail onto it.

Hi Tom Tom. No I'm not selling my Chaloner. The sad face is ment as a Goodbye to the Regner company which I heard is closing down If anyone has information of the opposite I be glad hearing of it.
Beside that I'm really glad and grateful for all the kind comments

Thank you Daan for your kind comments. I'ts a good idea with the catch rail. Shall it be put on the outside on the outer rail, or on the inside of the inner rail?
