Had a horrible scare today. I was filming a drivers eye view with Caradoc pushing a flat wagon with my camera on it. Departing Afonglas the wagon derailed on the loop points, falling off the small embankment and then taking the engine with it! Caradoc rolled over :( vitually onto its cab roof, scratching some paintwork and tearing the trimline in 2 places as well, and pushing the burner partially out of the tube as well
Luckily the damage has been repared but it was horrible watching the engine roling, but something I have had before, Gwydion my Roundhouse Millie rolled over on a sharply curved tempoary bridge on its second steaming! Its lining covers up most of the scratches from that day!

Perhapes I should of made that a bit clearer, as in it rolled off the embankment!! However the close call came in the thankfully small amont of damage, lets just say 5 minites later the engine was running happily enough, if a little grubby and the results should be on youtube soon (thats the drivers eye view). All it took was then 20 mins with a couple of pots of paint and the spare trimline to repare the cosmetic damage

oh dear. sorry to hear bout your accident. must be somethin bout the a&nlr and misfortune at the moment. when i went to get westmorland out of her box on saturday, the cushioning rag had somehow got stuck to the tanks and it took a rather large chunk of paint or 2 off with it and left marks all over the rest of the paintwork!

Well today I had a big steam up with my fellow members of the Cornish Mamod Group. Had all my stock n locos out, including rollers and traction engines, and had 2 visiting locos + a load of TE's rollers n stuff on the grass. I will include more pics n vids tomorra once got more off the others.
However, we had a fantastic laugh today. While prepping my Edrig, I learnt that I should not talk to others while doing it. I turned around and found that I was putting steam oil in the boiler, not the lubricator!!!!
WOOPS!
Had a newbie out today, only having a driven Mamod TE's, he was keen to get his hands on a proper engine
, so here is the result!!!

Hmm, a few cosmetic repairs were required this evening!!!
Took the corner a little fast!
Sam had his troublesome 'mucky' MSS out with a rake of wagons while I had Edrig in full steam, with a fully loaded granite train. Sam's had stopped on the bridge, and not told me that the line was blocked, so he was attending to that therefore 'hiding' the train. Ben-Ben hurtled out of the tunnel, and before I realised what was going on, WHACK!!!!
