Today i revieved a few things.

First another accucraft L&B open wagon in gray.

then mater on i got a box from DJB with .... new smokebox and BR rub downs.

The smokebox was kind of a dissapointment.
1) the boiler doesnt fit in, i think it is because the coal fired boielr is slightly smaller, but David said it was for a gas fired edrig..so...

2) the chimney hole is big enough

3) no fixing holes under it

4) no hinge bar

5) a big lump of excess casting on the door, which i shall grind down on dads bench grinder.

6) nothing to hold the door shut.

for £60 you would think they could at least makes the chimney hole big enough, and put some fixing holes in the bottom, i dont have anything to make a tap. So i think i am going to leave it off until it goes coal fired.

The BR rub downs were fine, well the first one was, but the second one had some bits move, so it doesnt look neat.

That smokebox was £60??? What's wrong with the old one???? Ok, it'd need sealing up for coal firing but that's not hard!

i like the djb one, why did you put a pointless handrail on your edrig, becuase you like it, same way as i like the smokebox.

but the best part is, i didnt pay for it ;)

Its not pointless though its for the shunter bloke to hold on to, and because it is a prototypical feature.
