I now have one side complete and the other following close behind. Hope to get the sides and ends assembled this week. Currently thinking about the interior. I don't think there are any details as to how the inside looked in this era so i will probably have a guess. Any ideas, in particular for the first class compartment?

Tonight I assembled one side and brake end. It probably doesn't look like much has been done sine the last pictures but making up of the sides has taken ages, each has 6 layers that have to align perfectly. the end now needs it's interior layer. for the other side I am currently waiting for the other droplights to dry before putting them on, then attaching the interior layer, then the other side will be ready to be glued to the other end. The lettering for the side has been painted, but I like to leave this to the end to be attached.

I have done alot since the last pics. The whole thing is now together, the gaurds compartment and third class compartments are nearly done. The awkward brake pipes are being made. The foot board brackets are in place with the footboards being painted. and finally, the coach now stands on bogies and has the couplings attached. I will post a pic soon.

latest update since the other day, door handles and grab handles go on, along with the laser cut lettering. Next i think I will have a go at the window bars and i've just noticed that i have left out a piece of pannelling that is present on one brake coach and not the other.

That is very impressive. If I had a coach like that one I'd have to find a nicer-looking locomotive to pull it, and it would be the beginning of a vicious circle!!
As an aside, I'm always inclined to think a little better of a person when I see a little traction engine or roller parked at the back of the workbench.

Slight update. First class comp done over weekend, along with enamel door signs that I made up instead of using blackham, small details in the guards comp and made the window bars. Still to do is paint the passengers and guard, add frame stretchers, build the roof and complete piping along the side for the brakes, might add some pictures to the compartments. Time is tight at the moment and I have alot to do but hopefully all will be complete come friday (probably going to be up late
